Six Week Course
Starts 3rd March 2025, and then every Monday until and including 7th April 2025.

Times 7:00pm to 9:30pm

During the six week jewellery classes Rebecca will teach you the basics of jewellery making
You will learn how to use tools safely, work with metal, and create your own original pieces
Learn to make silver jewellery using traditional techniques. A great class for beginners or for those wanting to learn more after doing a day class with Rebecca.
Techniques covered over the 6 weeks include:
Sawing
Pickling
Filing
Embossing/stamping
Soldering
Annealing
Sanding and polishing
Working with silver
Tools and resources
Classes are very small with a maximum of 8 students allowing for a lot of time with the tutor. You will make 2-4 pieces of silver jewellery during the six weeks.

General Info:
Base metals to practice with are included in the cost of the class as well as cold/hot drinks, biscuits and some times cake!
You do not need to bring any tools etc with you to Rebecca Winder school of jewellery as everything is provided. It’s advised you don’t wear your best clothes or bring an apron, as it can get dirty polishing metal. If you have long hair you will need something to tie it up/back with. Beautiful manicured nails won’t last long either, so bring some rubber/gardening gloves if you want to protect them.
The final few weeks of the classes you are encouraged to design and make a piece of your own design
The metal /stones etc for this can be bought directly from Rebecca Winder school of Jewellery at a reduced price.
